Young boy got the voice of an angel, can't front. I seen him perform "Redbone" in a living room and hit all the necessary notes. I was blown away and got nothing, but love for the homie ever since. Check out Maceo's debut single below!
This will be my first full length listen of Dave East. I respect him because the greats do.
Ms. Nash is here with the first single of her upcoming EP, Remedy. Enjoy!
As in many American cities, there are three streets in Hollywood, Florida named after Confederate generals from America's Civil War. Just as there is a national debate over the infamous confederate flag, this is a local debate pushing to remove imagery of America's racist past. Sign this petition to help the efforts of getting these street names removed and changed.
I posed the suggestion, a few months back on my "Mumble Rap vs. Conscious Rap" blog, of breaking Hip-Hop down into different sub-genres as it's grown to mainstream popularity. This came about as "mumble rap" has grown it's own subculture fan base. In this video, Murs gives his "3 Lane Theory" of Hip-Hop chronicling the ascensions of the current GOAT's in training, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, & Drake. Check it out!
Dope visuals. Relatable message. Local Orlando artist.

America is showing it's true colors with the current outrage against this new ad, called "The Talk" by Procter & Gamble. Most colored folk will watch this ad and feel completely at home with the way these mothers are depicted, preparing their children for the world they face everyday outside of their own homes. It is a "talk" that we colored kids have all sat through with our parents. This ad is attempting to start a conversation on racial bias in America and I personally fee like it did a great job, as it's gotten the racists of the country speaking louder in disgust for the ad. I challenge you to take a look. If you agree with the message, repost this blog for others to see and spread the message out of solidarity with truthful depictions of our people.
If you are unaware of the criticisms this ad is recieving, just take a look.
*shakes head in disgust*
