XXX is a very controversial figure in Hip-Hop in 2017 from arrests and accusations to calling out the top dog in the game at the time, Drake, to being involved in multiple stage fights. All the while, I still see the guy putting effort towards relaying a message to his fellow youth rather it be in his strange XXL Freshman freestyle or in his new video for his breakout hit "Look at Me!".
This video features multiple hangings depicting factual events of American History as well as a controversy tugging depicting a white child being hung. I can see the message behind this, can you? Check it out and tell me what you think.
As Hurricane Irma approaches, I wanted to drop tips for preparation as I come across them. Many of us no longer have landlines to be able to call out during a power outage and our cell phones will more than likely die if we are not prepared with ways to charge them. Communication in any disaster is almost primary. Below is a video showing how to charge your phone with a 9volt battery and a car charger. Enjoy!
I've been pretty quiet about this project until this week. Secretly building amongst my family, my team, the gvng. Here we are with WTFuture's second project releasing today, CVNCER EP. Enjoy the vibes and I hope you finish it with a new perspective on yourself.
I am extremely excited to finally have the final version of this masterpiece of a mixtape. Arlon is a singer/songwriter/dancer from my home, Broward County, Florida. I've been hearing pieces of this project for months and I've been pleased with every step. You got one my brother! Y'all enjoy and best believe some of these tracks are making it to my #PLVYLIST
Florida native, Arlon, unleashes new visuals for his single, “Shine.” The Broward County native has dubbed it his hometown’s anthem and something any true hustler can appreciate. Arlon taps into his perspective as a rising star, touching on things like keeping your circle small, the inevitability of some friends switching up, and the need to stay focused and clear of the drama.
Cali's own SuperDuperKyle teams up with Broward's own Kodak Black for the "iSpy Remix". Good replacement for Yachty?
South Florida started jooking simultaneously the morning DJ Khaled's "To The Max" featuring Drake was released to the world. I have been hearing debates since Monday morning as to what inspired the sound. Some claimed Jersey Club. Some claimed Baltimore Club. The argument of South Florida's jook sound has lasted throughout. Being a proud representative born and raised in SoFlo, more specifically Broward-Lauderdale, I automatically felt the song was reminiscent of all the party songs I danced to since middle school ....at least.
The real winner in this whole conversaton is South Florida, as our sound is now being spread with the roots being discovered. Billboard (YES, I SAID BILLBOARD), in an article titled "Intro To Jookin': 12 Miami Songs That Influenced DJ Khaled's 'To The Max', listed popular classics that still get play today. If you don't know these songs, we may need your Florida residency back. Check it out!

3. Geetee - "Pull Out The Stick" ft. Sam Sneak

Here we are with another vibe from my home, Broward County. Been watching the homie AG Almighty make moves since my early days, so I'm honored to drop the fam's track on the blog. Stream his single "Never" and mixtape Product of the 80s below.
New visuals from Broward artist Steven Da Guy for his "Thugsta" track. Happy to see my city making moves! Enjoy.
With all of these South Florida artists on the XXL Freshman "10th Spot" voting list, it's looking like we are going to have some representation. Vote for any if your favorites!
As promised, here is the new mixtape Don't Quit Your Daydream by Broward's own Hollywood Rowe. It's beautiful. I've always appreciated Rowe's messages since the Myspace days when he was a positive light on being a "Rapper" in Fort Lauderdale.
We are blessed with visuals for "Take Over The World" from Broward's own Hollywood Rowe. The track comes from upcoming project, Don't Quit Your Daydream, releasing tomorrow, Friday, May 28th. #BelieveInBroward
